Accessibility statement
This statement describes the accessibility of the T.H. Yaad website for people who use keyboards, screen readers, zoom, or other assistive technology.
The standard we aim for
TH YAAD LTD aims to conform to Israeli Standard IS 5568, which adopts WCAG 2.0 Level AA, and this site is built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
What is in place
- A skip link to the main content, and a visible focus indicator on every control.
- The mobile menu opens from the keyboard and closes with Escape. Photo galleries move with the keyboard.
- Pages use one main heading, landmarks for header, navigation, main and footer, and the page language is set to English or German.
- Catalogue photographs have text alternatives. Decorative frames in the gallery use an empty alternative.
- Quote and sample fields have labels. Required fields are identified. Errors and the sent or failed message are announced.
- Text and buttons were checked for contrast.
- The home film is muted, does not start with sound, can be paused, and does not play when reduced motion is requested.
- Pages reflow on a narrow screen without a sideways scroll of the whole page.
Known limitations
- The film on the About page has no spoken soundtrack. The caption under the player is Knitting.
